HELP -Dana- Screaming, struggling, to the point of tears, he continued the drama, as though for years, resisting with all his might, putting up a good fight, until exhaustion surrendered his day. Resigned to an afternoon of dread, the blinds were drawn........ and the toddler went to bed.
I chose this poem, because I liked the way the writer wrote this poem in a realistic way. I could imagine this easily...the toddler screaming, crying, begging for freedom. I guess this is what I would’ve done when I was a little toddler. This brings up memories in my head. This writer wrote this poem short, yet very fantastic. The vocabularies they used, the way this writer tried to make this image appear in the reader’s head is fantastic. This is one of the best poems I’ve read so far. I also chose this poem because I knew this is how the toddlers reacted when they were in bed, struggling for their own freedom. I think this poem is a really nice, aggressive poem.
