This is my Pirate Treasure Map.

I made this pirate's hidden treasure map to celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day. To find the treasure, challengers will need to solve out the ten mathematical clues. Try to work out a code using mathematical symbols and formulae to allow someone to follow a treasure route around the map.

Some of these questions were new to me and I learned how to solve them out using different strategies. For example, No. 2 was the one I found the most difficult. The question was like this: A pattern goes on like this 1,3,5,7. . . . How many numbers are there that add up to 576? To solve this question you would need to find out a pattern: 1+3=4(the sum of the first two numbers is 2 squared) , 4+5=9( the sum of the first three number is 3 squared.) So to work this question out, you just need to find out the square root of 576(24 squared = 576) The answer is 24.

This map included ten questions. People will need to record their answer at the back of the map and add up their answers at the end(not no. 9 ) to solve the code. When I was making this map, I looked for some questions in books and on the Internet. I changed them carefully into my own questions.
