Everyday just over 100 sloth bears are being forced to dance in India and Pakistan by Madaris (people who force bears to dance)

'Dancing' Bears

Do you know what is happening to the so called 'mighty' grizzly bear?

Holes are poked through their sof nuzzles with red hot needles that were heated in coals. As the baby cub is sqealing in pain, a rope is forced through the wound . Some baby cubs die before training starts, a dancing bear lives up to the age of 8 as the average bear lives to 30.

Training includes, Getting up to 6 dogs attacing the bear although the bear can not fight back as all it's teeth has been pulled out and all it's claws have been removed.

Madaris tap these bears with heavy sticks on their legs which caues then to move their feet in pain. Usually the rope is tugged and the bear will move which will entertain the crowd. tickets cost the equivalent of 50 cents.
