Going to a rodeo doesn't make you a REAL cowgirl. Kickin' your competition's butt while you are there does. Having the ability to ride a horse doesn't make you a REAL cowgirl. A REAL cowgirl has the ability to ride a horse while going as fast as possible through a pattern. Being a REAL cowgirl takes skill. A REAL cowgirl can tie down a goat in about 8 seconds. A REAL cowgirl can run through the pole pattern in 20. A REAL cowgirl can put a rope around a calf's neck in the blink of an eye. A REAL cowgirl can leave a trail of smoke around a barrel pattern. Being a REAL cowgirl means that you are tough. When you fall, you get right back up. Being a REAL cowgirl takes mental toughness. A REAL cowgirl can overcome any obstacle that comes their way. Being a REAL cowgirl means you have a connection with your horse; a connection that can't be broken; a connection that makes you a winner in the rodeo arena. A REAL cowgirl doesn't talk about how good they are... they go show what they can do and let others talk about how good they are. So go ahead, call yourself a cowgirl, but when you do, be ready to back it up by competing against a REAL cowgirl in the arena. See you there.
Cowgirl Up-- an expression that means to rise to the occassion, to never give up, and to do it all without whining and complaining...
When you count your blessings, count your horse twice.
When in doubt, let your horse do the thinking...
