Delta- the flat area at the mouth of a river made of sediment deposited by the river *on reaching the sea,the rivers energy is suddenly reduced so it will deposit any load or sediment *most of the time , the sediment is washed away by waves and tides. *sometimes the sea cannot remove it all. *the sediment will build up to create a low lying plain.
