Editor's Note: Hopefully you've have gone through and seen just some of the harzardous effects Americans have dealt to the planet and the true amount of wastefulness involved. Nevertheless, this is not the note I would like to end on. I want everyone who sees this to begin to make a difference in their planet and country, for the betterment of our civilization and quality of life. Only a few changes are necessary to begin this evolution of American change, and they are not hard to do. 1. Clean up after yourself, Don't leave things lying around when you take a walk, dispose of it properly and pick up stuff along the way. 2. Change how you use things. Turn off devices when they are not being used, including the TV and lights. Even if it is only a moment, that is a moment of energy saved, and a step to making changes. 3. Switch your lightbulbs. Okay, so this just doesn't apply to lightbulbs, but the truth is that there are little nuances that can be tweaked around the house to contribute to reducing waste. Switch to power saving lightbulbs, get a Hybird car, better insulate your house with siding, better windows; dispose of everything you are switching out correctly, and you will be on your way not only to invest in the planet and future, but most of these changes actually SAVE YOU MONEY in the long-term through tax deductions and saving money on utilities! 4. Know the consequences. Whenever you are about to drop something into the trash can that can be recycled or let go of a cup in the street, that somehow, somewhere, Mother Nature will eventually suffer from it, if not immediately. Use your conscience to make our country, and our world thrive. 5. Lead. Sometimes taking that extra step is hard, but by going out of your way and doing something before others, you can start a chain reaction of change that will benefit our world in the long-term. It will be up to the current generations and the current generations to begin and continue this change, respectively. 6. Inspire. I hope that I have inspired viewers to begin the changes we need to cut back on American/human wastefulness and that they will in turn. inspire others to do the same. To bring Hope. To "See the Light" (if you don't get this listen to the songs above.) Sincerely, Ryan J. Kohler
