The morning started as a usual tuesday morning, but the time the time the dust settled 2,819 people lost their lives. In light of such a tragedy the country became one nation under God. Nothing else mattered except for the fact that together we would get through this and united we would stand.
I got up that morning and went to school it was just a adverage day in the fourth grade. I remember i was sitting in the lunch room (cheese nips in hand) and one by one kids were being pulled out of school by their parents. I didnt think much of it, but when my named was called Iwas over welmed with joy not knowing why i was going home but to my dismay when I walked up stairs and got my things,my mom didnt say much just that we were going. when I got to the car my sister was already there along with my aunt and two cousins . Which was odd because i feel as if this was the only time we had all been together like this .The car ride was silent then when i got home i saw the videos on the today show , i remember my mom was talking to my grandma and they were discussing it. Then second plane hit right before my eyes, my mom gasped and the room fell silent , that is when I knew this wasnt okay this wasnt in a differnt country this was the United States and things like that dont happen here. From that day froward Ialway will remember it as the day when everything changed. Thinking now how would our world be today if none of this had ever happened?
