I was only 8 years old when the Twin Towers were attacted, but now, at age 17, I can still remember everything as if it were yesterday...The lunch room was chaotic. Parents were yanking kids out of classrooms like there was a bomb threat or something. I had no idea what was going on, all I knew was that something wasn't right. My teachers wouldn't tell me what was going on and I can remember being really scared.I got home that day and immediately ran to ask my father what had happened. He was watching the news, and quickly told me to be quiet and listen. I didn't even know what the Twin Towers were. I kept asking him over and over what was going on, but it was like he was in shock sitting there in front of the T.V. He got it together long enough to tell me that this was a huge disaster and that many people were going to die. That was something I could actually understand. We sat there in silence just watching the towers burn. After they collapsed my whole family went into shock. I remember my dad saying that we'd never forget this day. I couldn't sleep that night because everytime I would hear a plane pass by over head I would think it was going to crash into my house. 9/11 will forever be a day that I will never forget.
