During the 2001 Daytona 500, one of the greatest legends lives came to a tragic end after slamming into the concrete wall during the last lap, causing an instant death due to massive head damage. Emergency wokers tried to save him and immediantly rushed him to a hospital with air transportation, but it was too late.
