Couple hurt as car smashes into church
Police are investigating a car crash in Sydney where a car crashed into a church. The white Mitsubishi Magna was driving along Maroubra Rd in Sydney's east at about 8pm last night, then it left the road and crashed into the entrance of Maroubra's St John The Baptist Church. The 33 year old male driver suffered minor injuries in the accident, whilst his 27 year old female passenger sustained head injuries. Both were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital. Luckily no one was injured inside the churh when the car crashed into it.
