Technology in Ancient Greece
From the catapults, to the ancient railways, to the spiral staircase, ancient Greece was flourishing with important technology that both made immediate changes and was the basis for things we use today. Some of the technology was so significant, that we still know some inventor's names, like Archimedes and Hero. These scientists and engineers were inspired to invent technology to meet the needs of the people, as the scientists and engineers are also inspired to do today. These needs were in the form of warfare, commerce, convenience, and even art. In these ways, Greece affected what we have today, and they had in their time.
