A third example is if you are interested in purchasing an i-Phone, than Apple would also show their different i-Pods. A last example is if you are looking for Frosted Flakes, they would also show you other cereals that are made from Kelloggs.
An upsell refers you to a location that presents a similar but more expensive item. An example of upsell is purchasing a i-Pod with 3 GB when you can buy an i-Pod with 20 GB. Another example is purchasing coffee from WaWa when you buy a better-tasting coffee at Starbucks. A third example is getting a upper-deck seat at a football game when you can get a 10 yard line ticket at a Monday Night Football game. A smart card looks like a credit card but has a microchip inside it loaded with data that can be used for various applications. For example, if you live and travel in the Southeast, you might want to purchase a prepaid E-ZPass to travel in the toll system's express lanes.; it would be faster and more convienent. This comes in great use for college kids that are spending money and making purchases on their card through electronic cash payments. You can make purchases with smart cards at websites like E-Bay or Amazon.
