Dffernt types of telescopes :] There are two main types of telescomes deviding many more other kinds into two large catagories. These two catagories would be refracting telescopes, and reflecting telescopes. Now we think of the refractor as the old type that pirates used. These are usually very cheep and have a lense in the front, and a lense in the back. The light comes through the front ad it focases it out through the eye peice. In the reflecting telescop it uses a peice of glass instead of a lense, but they both do the same thing in the end. they both, reflect the light and aim it through to the eye peice letting you see what you need to. telescopes can see further depending on the diameter of the lense or the mirror. For instance if it had a diameter of 8 in., it would not be able to see as far as one with 20in. diameter.
Five facts :] 1.) The univerce is transparent. This means that the light from distant stars and galexies can can travel unchanged accross space for thousnds millions, of even billions of years. the telescope helped us see that. 2.) In the last few microseconds befor that light reaches our eyes, the accurite view of those stars and galexies are snached away. This is because as light passes through our atmasphere of air water vapor and dust blur the fine cosmic details of these things. the telescope also helped us make this discovery about earth. 3.) As early as 1923 the fame rocket scientist, suggested a space stage telescope to scircle around the univerc and orbit constantly to try and see what is happening with everything in our univerce and more. 4.) It took over two years of hard worka nd dedication from scientists contractors and engeniers to finish hubble. 5.) At first a deffect in the mirror stoped Hubble from taking sharp immages, the morrior was too flat. Once the people at the space program ficed that it worked perfectle.
History :] The earlier telescopes consisted of glass lenses knotted in a tube, Newton discovered that when light passed the red lense, The different colors were reflected by differnt amounts. Sir Issic Newton was the man that first invented thse telescopes, and was the first amn to discover what a rainbow was, he discovered this though by using a telescope. This instroment has vastly changed our view of the sky and more. This was also the first tool to let us see into space, not only did it do this, but it is the instromen that let us see the furthest of all.
