Key Chapter: Proverbs 31
The book of proverbs is just about a bunch of tips on how to live a life according to what God expects us to live it like. Proverbs is all about wisdom. According to http://members.datafast.net.au/sggram/f041.htm, these are some of the main ideas in Proverbs * Knowing God. 'The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom' (Prov 9:10). * Guarding your speech. 'A word aptly spoken...' (Prov 25:11, 21:23, 29:20). * Sexual morality and marital faithfulness. 'Rejoice with the wife of your youth' (Prov 5:15-20). * Productiveness in daily work.'Go to the ant you sluggard!' (Prov 10:4-5, 6:6-11). * Abstaining from strong drink. 'Wine is a mocker...' (Prov 20:1, 23:31-33). * Justice and honesty. 'A false balance is an abomination to the Lord but a just weight is his delight.' (Proverbs 11:1).
Proverbs descrides two different women. The worldly woman and the wisdom woman. In the New Testament (Colossians 2:2-3) refers to Jesus as our wisdom. The key verse in proverbs is 'The fear of the Lord is the beggining of all knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. Proverbs speaks of the people who fear the Lord and those who dont.

THOSE WHO DON'T FEAR GOD Care only about pleasing self Ignore God Leave God out of their thoughts & plans Try to pretend that God does not exist Care nothing for God’s Word
