Liquid A liquid will take the size and shape of its container with a free surface and gravatational field. A liquid has a fixed volume.
A property of a liquid is its density. Another property is its melting and boiling point.
The density of a material like water is defined as its mass per unit volume. The melting point for water is 100 degrees celcious and its freezing point is 0 degrees celcious.
A principle for a liquid is that in general liquids show expansion on heating, contraction on cooling water however, does not follow the rule exactly
