Columbian Exchange
The Columbian Exchange started when Christopher Columbus brought europeans to the americas. The americas had many different goods that Spain and other european countries could use, such as gold, plants, and animals. Slaves were also traded in the columbian exchange.
The conditions for the traders were somewhat difficult. It could take 3 weeks to 3 months to travel from Europe to the americas., depending on storms and weather conditions. The conditons for the slaves were very poor though. They would be crammed onto boats, many of them would die on the way there from disease, or they may commit suicide. The condtions were not easy overall for the Columbian Exchange.
The Columbian Exchange made Spain the one of the wealthiest countries immediatly. Because Spain got a great amoutn of gold, animals, and other goods. Spain had conquered enough land in the americas that they were able to get the goods and sell them. An immediate reaction the americas had was that many of the natives died from diseases brought from Europe.
This is a vidoe made by some history students,it is kind of funny but has good information in it.
