What's Going On"
- Many people thought that the U.S. troops were dieing for no reason. - Many people didn't like the draft because it ruined many other peoples lives, opportunities, and chances. - Many people thought it was a pointless war and it would just get our country more in dept. - It was an un-winnable war. Many people thought it was impossible to defeat the Vietcong.
Marches - people would peacefully march through cities and try to get their point across. Boycotts - people would abandon something or some service to change the law. Picketing - people would stand outside a place or organization and yell, hold signs, and protest. Song - people would sing meaningful songs to get their point across. It was peaceful and fun.
- The S.D.S. was an extremely radical group. People worried it was lead by communists. - The Yippies used street theater tactics to get the medias attention - The Weather Men were a faction of protestors that wanted to use violence to achieve their goals.
