Benefits -When he was governor he helped the environment by regulating laws regarding littering and pollution. -He also invented earth day which is when everybody picks up around the world on this day. -Purchased Wilderness areas across the state
Honors In 1995 he received the nation’s highest civilian award for being the father of Earth day In 1990 he was awarded the Ansel Adams Conservation Award got it for a lot of commit to cause of conservation
