. Challenges She was a member of the scribblers. Her parents separated. People thought the everglades were a big useless swamp. Many people thought that the ever glades needed to be a national park.
Reasons or Need Saved the the everglades from developement. Remember Native Americans who traveled the ever glades keep the water supply clean.
Benefits She raised public awareness about the mismanagement of the everglades. She convinced the government to make the glades a national park.
Animals Saved Stork, herons, kites, osprey, bald eagles, alligators, crocodiles, manatee, otter, deer, and the endangered Florida panther
