Beauty, all around It's so lovely; Green grass, flowers spurting from the ground, Scents tickle my nose, how heavenly. I make my trip home, Walking ever so slowly; Enjoying it, and dreading ever what will come, Hoping they will be to busy for me. I walk in the door of my house, I find silence around every corner, I trip, crash, boom, there goes being silent as a mouse, I hear her storming through the house, sounding meaner and meaner. I'm scared, there is nowhere to escape, She is here, and her voice fills the room, Yelling, screaming, beating, What did I do to earn this fate? When she's done, she drags me down the hall, to my everlasting tomb. Now I am physically dead, My soul has left this world; My body, is leaking blood onto my bed, My soul, floating, twirling, heading to that once dream-world. Mommy, what did I do? -Kaylyn Niles 2009
