BELIZE
Belize is located in Central America. It is bordered by Guatemala and Mexico. It is a relatively flat country with lots of swamps and low mountains to the south. It also has a tropical climate and is very hot in the summers and rainy in the winters.
Belize has very arable land potential, which means lots of farming. In addition to crops, belize has a lot of timber, a strong fishing industry, and large hydro-power services.
The population of Belize is 301,270 and is growing at 2.2%. 1/4 of the people live in Belize City. Instead of the American dollar, they use the Belizean dollar. In Belize they have a Parliamentry Democracy and elections are held every 5 years. Queen Elizibeth is their head of state.
The main meal in Belize is dinner. They have a variety of different foods just like any place on earth, some foods we would recognize are; burgers, fish, and tamales. The official language is English. They have other languages such as; Creole and Spanish.
Family is very important in Belize. There are 3 structures; Lower, Middle, and Upper. Most of the population is in the middle region, things like extended family and things. Freedom of religion is also very important to the people. There are the Christians, the Catholics, and the Anglican.
