PAUL CEZANNE
''Apples and Oranges'' For a very long time, landscapes and still-lifes were Cezanne's main topics. Creating more than 200 still-life paintings, Cezanne said he wants to ''conquer Paris with an apple''. ''Apples and Oranges'' is still one of his most famous still-life compositions.
Some say he was obsessed with painting. In a way, it was his sense of failure that drove him to an obsession---always trying to get it right, always trying to improve his ideas.
