Money is a great concern when it comes to Metamorphosis. Gregor took his job only to support his family. But now that he is an insect, he is unable to continue this, which causes his family great concern and makes them take jobs themselves.
In the Glass Menagerie, Laura was given the nickname "Blue roses" in high school, again showing how unusual yet special she is.

In the Metamorphosis, Gregor has a picture on his wall of a woman dressed in furs. This resembles his want for wealth, but as an insect he treats it as a link to his human life. Something to remind him that he hasn't always been the way he is now.
Also, the author uses hyperbole between the Laura, the mother, and Tom, the son, when they argue. As most mothers and sons do.
In Metamorphosis, Kafka's view of a satire family is very surreal. He makes Gregor and Grete seem like normal siblings when it comes to taking care of Gregore- how she doesn't want to.
Gregor's family uses euphamism when it come to Gregor because they are his family and they don't want to hurt him, but they are still disturbed by his transformation.
