DNA holds information that tells all kinds of things about the DNA, like the structure and function of the organism.

-Helps identify potential suspects - Establish Paternity status -Identifies endangred species - Proves innocence to people wrongfully accused of crimes
-Things may go wrong in the evidence -DNA can become corrupted from mishandling -harmful materials -difficult to extract samples(DNA) from orginal sample
