One of the biggest contributions to Ancient Egypt was the Nile. It was used in many ways and it provided fertile land and silt when it would flood over once a year. The flood of the Nile was good for farming and irrigation. The Egyptian people used the Nile for transportation and trade up and down the river. They also used the Nile as a food source by fishing. Mud from the Nile was used to build houses and other different structures. The central importance of the river in the Ancient Egyptian’s daily life is evident in history and is reflected in their art, religion, writings, politics, and social life. The river shaped nearly every facet of their existence.

Solid stone, copper, and bronze tools were used to build these amazing structures. The stone was used more for luxary of the king than homes of the people because stone was expensive. A lot of their structures were among the largest of ancient history. Their pyramids, monuments, and temples were important bc they were mainly built for religous purposes.
