Greece & Rome
Romaqn empire factors for failure. 1.Decline in Morals and Values 2.High Death Rate because of poor public health 3.Political Corruption 4.High unemployment 5.Increased crime rate 6.Inflation 7.Decay of Cities 8.Lack of new and more efficient technology 9.Constant spending to defend the Empire’s border
Fall of Greece The decline of Greece began during the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta in 431 B.C. Sparta eventually won the war, however, economic conditions worsened, and clashes between the rich and poor began to break out more frequently. This lead to the city-states inability to defend themselves against the attack of Macedonian king Alexander the Great. This was the first fall of Greece. Then, when Alexander died, the kingdom was divided into three and Greek Culture flourished. However, Rome conquered each of the three kingdoms one by one. This was the second fall of Greece.
