Hello! My name is Flat Stanley. I am from Wisconsin and my good friend Madisyn sent me to visit Renee & Ryan Simonet in Doha, Qatar. Follow along with my adventures here!
I visited Souk Waqif one night, and saw many new sights, tasted new food, and met new people. It was a lot of fun!
Here I am eating Fattouche salad. This salad has peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, and really yummy dressing. I think even second graders would like this!
We visited an art center. Here, many artists were displaying and selling their work. We even met one of the gallery keepers who was from the country Oman. He is pictured with us below.
The picture below shows me (and Ryan) in front of the Museum of Islamic Art. This museum is just opening after years of being built!
In the picture above I am hanging out on Al Corniche (the bay.) It is located in the Gulf Coast and they have built many buildings and a great walking track next to the water. The city behind me is always growing. You wouldn't believe how much they build here!
