Perdix faced a gruesome death: falling from a tower!
While he fell, Athena took pity on him, and turned him into a partrige. The word partridge comes from Perdix. That is why to this day, partriges stay on the ground; or in bushes and hedges.
Daedalus was a great metalworker!
In the process, his son, Icarus fell from the sky and died. Daedalus landed safely in Sicily and gave the wings to Appolo. King Minos found him soon after, but the King of Sicily (Colacus) told his daughters to kill him in his bathtub!
Daedalus and Perdix
Daedalus had an ingenious student: Perdix. . Perdix invented the saw and the automaton, and soon Daedalus got envious.
One day Daedalus invited Perdix to the top of his tower. Daedalus took Perdix to the edge of his balcony and....
Daedalus got branded on his neck and was never seen again....
