Refraction Telescopes have do different types of lenses, concave (converging) and convex (diverging). The concave is the objective lense, the lense that light passes through and the concave lense serves as the eyepiece lense, which is that smaller lense you look into and the light comes out.
Refracting Telescopes
The image goes through the objective (concave) lense of a refracting telescope takes in light from a distance and brings to a point of focus meaning to say the rays of light coming towards the telescope converge and meet. Then the eyepiece (convex) lense spreads it out/ magnifies the rays and enables us to the image see from a distance.
