A third estate meeting on a tennis court?!?!? It's true!
June 20, 1789. So this isn't your normal meeting of the third estate. But it was the most influential. This is the sports section of our magazine, but we think that this event of the French Revolution that occured in a tennis court in Versailles is pretty important. We, members of the third estate, wanted a darn Nation Assembly! But the king still would not listen to us, that was why we had to move to this stupid tennis court. But we refused to stop meeting and planning events and proposals, and finally the king gave in and gave us what we wanted! Our strength and unity won! The king forced the other estates to join the National Assembly! This is amazing! This could mean more rights! Less taxes! Equality and fairness! Oh the possibilities, and to think this was all planned in a tennis court. :)
