When discovering the new world of Latin America, Spain and Portugal created the Treaty of Tordesillas. This treaty said that the west of a lcertain lin of longitude would belong to Spain, and east would belong to Portugal. Made in order to avoid war, the placement of the land was not expected.

Bolivar was born into the Creole social class in Venezuala. He Liberated the countries of Venezuala, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Panama.
President Monroe created the Monroe Doctrine to tell all European countries to stay out of Latin America. Theodore Roosevelt enforced the Monroe Doctrine during the building of the Panama Canal.
