SILK ROAD The Silk Road is the most well-known trading route of ancient Chinese civilization. The silk Road is an extensive series of trade routes that connects East, South, and Western Europe with the Mediterranean world, including North Africa and Europe. The Motive of this interaction was trade. SIlk was originally the main thing traded along the trade route, but over time many other things were traded such as; porcelain, furs, spices, gems, cosmetics, silver, gold, amber, ivory, carpets, perfume and glass.
The Silk Road originated in the 2nd century BC from a desire for military and political purpose instead of for trade. Since it seemed easier and more effective, they decided to use it for the purpose of trade. Good were not the only things passed along the silk road, cultures were also passed along. Because of the silk road, Buddhism spread from India to China. Many people from different cultures would interact with each other in order to trade goods, and they would learn a bit about each others religions and cultures.

Sometimes the travel on the silk road was dangerous. It was a hot long journey across mostly desert. There were possible sand storms that occured that could kill the travelers, or omake it very tough. Also there were bandits who would attack the travelers, who stole there goods and killed the people.
