TRANS-ATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE
The slaves that were traded, were misused and abused. They were capture by other native African who were being paid. They were then brought to Europeans who sailed the slaves on cramped boats to the New World To be Sold
The Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade lastest from about the 16th century to the 19th century. The motive for this was profit. The Europeans made a lot of many selling good strong slaves. People would pay a lot for someone who can do a better job farming then themselves, which means they will be making more money from the slave.
The slaves were mistreated very badly. Many slaves died over the centuries, because they would not be taken care of; so when they were sick, they would stop feeding them, and throw many off the boat. They fed them very little food, and separated families.
