Should Your Bras Carry A Government Health Warning? This is a very serious question as more and more research shows a link between breast cancer and bras. Bras that are too tight, worn for too long and even some dyes found in bras have all been linked to the development of breast cancer in women, not to mention other ailments such as allergies, fibrosis, and an adverse affect of the immune system. This issue is extremely controversial as it poses quite a dilemma to women who feel going without a bra will lead to sagging from having no support. As women become more career oriented and are working and wearing a bra for longer hours, ultimately could lead to an increase in the breast cancer rate. If more and more research is put out about this subject eventually women will start heeding the warnings and forgo their bras.
