There's something out there for everyone. Chuck's books, they're disturbing, with dark comedy that only a certain type of person can appreciate. Maybe he's not for you, but I feel like reading isn't to be frowed upon, but rather embraced.

Whether he knows it or not, I appreciate and admire Chuck Palahniuk a lot. If I ever get to have dinner with 10 people, dead or alive, he's definitely invited. One day I'll meet him, and hopefully soon, because his new book is coming out, which means he'll probably go on tour. :]

But that's not what's really important. No, what is important is that this man and his writing are the reason I started reading again. I realized books are not for nerds. There's more out there than the required reading you did in high school.

My Favorites, in order (which was hard).

Chuck Palahniuk. Author of 9 fiction and 2 non-fiction novels, and his 10th fiction novel Snuff is due to arrive May 20. He is most known for writing Fight Club, which was made into a movie in 1999 by director David Fincher. Another of his books, Choke, was recently sold to Fox Searchlight Pictures for $5 million and is due to release August 1.
