JOZEF RAPAPORT
-born: Krystonopol, Poland 1899 -raised in religious Jewish family -education: University of Prague, then continued studies in Vienna to earn PhD in economics
-1931: married Leah Kohl -the couple settled in Warsaw in the suburbs to work as a banker (middle class).
-1939: Jozef was mobilized for military duty -taken as POW, released and returned to home - family fled to Soviet-occupied Lvov
-1941: Germans occupied Lvov -Rapaports returned to Warsaw to hide outside the ghetto by one of Jozef's former employees
-1944: Jozef was not recognized as a Jew and was deported with other civilians to the Gross-Rosen concentration camp in Germany.
-Jozef died in Gross-Rosen -wife, Leah and daughter, Zofia survived
