It’s cold, wet and windy Rain is knocking on the door Wanting to uncover a new mystery
Deep inside my soul it remains My heart don’t want to open It’s too hard and not yet time too let go of the pain
Still, the rain keeps knocking It wants to reveal what’s on its mind Hoping it will be the start of a new memoring
Dying to keep its feelings from the rain Though it’s hungry to love And so eager to break the chain
My bleeding heart is hiding behind the door For it’s too scared to love again Refusing to be scattered into pieces once more
Not knowing where to go from here It secretly finds the key to open Yet it can’t let go of its worst fear
For love is like rain Makes you cry with the most hurtful of pain It throws you flat on the ground With all that’s left…your crying heart’s sound
