Mount Kilimanjaro is close to the Equator but it still has snow on top. That's because of elevation. It's so high up that it gets cold, cold enough for year round snow!
Mount Kilimanjaro is the tallest mountain in Africa. It's in Tanzania. There are 3 volcanic cones; Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira.It is all inacvtive and very scenic.
The volcanoes have never erupeted since between 200,000 and 150,000 years ago. That's good for near-by town, Moshi.
