Wear socks made of absorbent fibers.Wear waterproof sandlesin public showers. When weather is humid go barefoot whenever possible. Avoid tight fitting shoes and air dry when possible.
This fungus requires a warm and moist environment. Wearing poorly ventilated shoes and socks harbor perspiration provide an ideal breeding ground for the germs that quickly multiply to cause athlete's foot. Contact with surfaces that harbor the organism also contributes to the development of this problem. It amy also be transmitted by wearing the shoes of someone who has it.
Athlete's foot is prevented by useing the treatments after sporting events, workout sessions, and last but not least long walks on the beach.
