Sensory Image:/We were born and raised in a summer haze/ is imagery because you can imagine the summers growing up together and them passing by without noticing.
Nevermind, I'll find someone like you/ I wish nothing but the best, for you too/ Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said/ Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead/ Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead/
Tone: Nevermind I'll find someone like you, makes me think that Adele is giving up on someone she truly loved and is moving on to find someone that reminds her of their traits
Metaphor:Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light., a metaphor because it compares what the person is really like to how the person appears to be shy around Adele and almost pulling away.
Tone:I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, it's tone because it uses a strong emotional word (hate) to express that Adele is sorry she must see the person one more time before moving on.
Assonance:Adele says "stay away" in a continuous form making those words vowel repetition.
Personification:The Time Flies- time doesn't fly but I believe Adele meant that you don't know how much time you have until it's too late.
Dialect:Adele says in the song 2 words that aren't that common outside of her geographical area which would be the words "ain't" and "nevermind".
Rhythm Pattern:Don't forget me, I beg, I remember you said/ "Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead"Most of the words are unstressed in these 2 lines except for Don't, beg, you said, (both) sometimes, and instead.
Someone Like Youby Adele
Mood:The overall mood of this piece is somber, regret, longing, and love which leads me to believe that Adele, with regret, is saying goodbye to someone she loves and knowingly must move on.
