Conclusion Temples help effect people's lives because they feel they must act a certain way for the gods they believe in. Sometimes it would be because they wanted a good afterlife, sometimes they didn't care how they acted but still worshiped the gods and goddesses, and sometimes they acted as good people so the gods and goddesses would take a liking to them. Without a religion, we would turn into animals and we wouldn't be as intelligent as we are today. Without temples, people would have a harder time trying to worship the gods and goddesses, and would probably start to forget them. Temples and religions make a lot out of us, just some people aren't that religious.
Rome Rome's people usually tried to be good people so that the gods and goddesses. would have sympathy for them when they were in need. They also worshiped the gods by festivals, but instead of using temples, they used churches when their main religion was Christian, which is similar to a temple. This helps bring peace to the city-state, although not as well as Egypt's religion does. They tried not to do harmful things to each other, although war was apparently OK to them. Temples helped them remember to worship the gods and to be good people.
Egypt Temples in ancient egypt usually had walls on the outside. the temples had many collumns on the inside, and they usually had more collumns than greek or roman temples. Just like greek temples, Egyptian temples were belived to be were the gods lived on Earth. Only preists and the pharoh(king) were allowed insid ethe temples. People left sacrafices outside the temple and they also worshiped outside it.
Greece Temples in ancient greece that suvived to today were always made of marble. The temples of Rome and Greece were both very similar, with both having a triangular roof and collumns on the outside. The greek belived that temples were where the gods resided when on Earth. Anybody could walk into the temples and worship. Sacrafices could be made and fesivals occured inside the temples.
