Trees rustled in the wind as the young girl wandered around a shadowy neighborhood. She looked around confused trying to figure out how she had come to a place she did not remember. She took a few steps forward. Then she saw a movement in an alley out of the corner of her eye. She stopped abruptly and yelled, “Who’s there?”. After a brief silence, a massive leopard stepped out of the shadows of the alley and walked toward the young girl. The leopards coat was a black glossy pelt glowing strangely in the darkness. The leopard finally came to a halt two steps from the young girl. The young girl stood still for a long moment, amazed at the leopards’ massive size. One swipe from its massive paws could send her falling on the floor. She whimpered a small cry. Then the leopard opened its massive jaws to speak. “Do not be afraid young one. I come with a message for you.” The young girl was appalled. She could not believe she had heard the leopard speak. After a few long seconds she finally choked out, “Wh-what do you mean a message? Who are you?” The leopard spoke once again in a calming voice, “There is no time for questions dear one. I must give you this message, for the fate of both our worlds is in danger.” Now the young girl was terrified. First, a talking leopard and now a message of danger? What else would this night bring? She cleared her mind and straightened up to hide her fear. “I’m sorry, but I can not help you with whatever it is you need. I’m just a girl.” “That is not true Destiny, for you are not just a girl. You are far more important than you will ever realize.” Destiny tilted her head to one side confused and petrified, “I never told you my name. How do you know me? And what do you mean I’m not just a girl? Of course I am. I’m just an ordinary girl with an ordinary life. I’m sorry but you must have the wrong girl.” “I think it’s about time you found out”, the leopard sighed while taking a step towards her.
