Penelope
I think Odysseus was an epic hero in this episode because he dressed up as a beggar and convinced Penelope that Odysseus would return home real soon. It shows that he isn't lying and that he will be home. He talks about Odysseus physical features and this gives Penelope hope that he will come back to her.
Verbal Irony- When the suitors take Odysseus land away from him and he's angered by this Epic Simile-Your name has gone out under heaven like the sweet honor of some god-fearing King.
Conflict-She's being pressured into marrying one of the suitors. Symbolism-When Penelope hopes for Odysseus return home, it's affecting her and the people who love her.
Characterization- When Penelope unravels her weaving while Odysseus is away and the suitors are fighting for Penelope.
