So, it's been a long while since I've logged onto my account here on Glogster and i'm gonna try to get better at checking my account more often. I wanted to start out here to say happy holidays (both past, present, and future) :)As you all know, Christmas is around the corner. Just 24 more days! And tis the season to give :) And what better way is there to give than to donate money to the Invisible Children?A friend of mine has joined a cause to help end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected areas in central Africa to restore peace and prosperity. This year, there have been 152 civilian deaths and 531 abductions and still counting. Since their Rough Cut film in 2003, they have come so far helping to end night commuting for the children in northern Uganda. Recently, the I.C. tested a new protection plan: FM radio broadcasts (the towers). These towers have immensely helped warning villages about any danger heading their way so they can protect and save their children's lives. This tower has been proven successful, and they now need help to raise money to build even more towers across Uganda...For more information, you can visit their site here to watch videos or read about the conflict from the beginning as well as read stories from past child soldiers who escaped or children who have been affected: Spread the word and most importantly make a difference :)Every penny counts! My friend here is very passionate about Africa, and it'd mean so much if you'd spread the word or even made a donation. To help her out, you can go to her page here, enter the amount you want to donate (one time or monthly) and click on Donate Now:
