Roy Fox Lichtenstein was a prominent American pop artist. Pop Art is a sort of art movement characterized by themes and techniques drawn from popular mass culture, such as advertising and comic books. It focusses on 'Popular', rather than 'Elite'. It emphasizes on the kitschy elements of a given culture. A lot of Pop Art aspects have relevance to modern day life! Pop Art proliferated in United Kingdom and United States of America.
