AB + CD ---> AD + CB A = AgNO3, B = NO3, C = Na+ ,D = S2 . Result: Ag2S and NaNO3. :) Now you follow the solubility guidelines, described in Step 2:)
Solubility guidelines say: Most sulfides are insoluble, and compounds with Ag+ are not listed as an exception. Therefore, Ag2S would be insoluble. Because compounds containing Na+ and NO3 are soluble, NaNO3 is soluble. :) (Means that it is not the precipitate)
