The book "The Black Cat and other stories" tell us about a relation between ill-treatment of animals performed by the people.In this book an alcoholic guy hits and performs ill-treatment of your pet which is an ol black cat that because of all those things, it dies.A day,the alcoholic guy's wife takes home an other cat that she's found on the street.This cat starts to haunt his owner by doing the man to kill his own wifa burning his house etc...The main message we can extract from this story is to not be bad to your pet.
For your knowledge The black cat is associated to the witches. Some people used to believe that cats were the spyrit of dead people.One of the most known superstition associated to the black cats is the one which says if a black cat cross your way,you shoul come back buy the way you've came from.If you don't do this you'll be out luck for rest of your life
