LCD
The LCD, liquid crystal display, uses nematic electrons to make the patterns of the light passages. When it does this it goes through the polarized panels to match the vibrations with the crystal liquid and to project the light to the screen. The LCD is like a cathode ray tube, except it is smaller and uses less energy. The LCD uses many basic parts with different coating on it; including the: glass with a polarize film, a mirror, a panel, and then more glass. Simple.
$150-240
The advantages are: the sharpness, minor distortion, brightness, screen shape, and the thin light shape. The disadvantages are: the resolution, interferance, limited view angle, color saturation, aspect ratio, motion artifacts(slow), and the cost(more than crt)
