''Remember me when i am gone away, Gone far away...''
SEPERATION
Better by far you should forget and smile Than that you should remember and be sad.
The last two lines of this sonnet does not end in a rhyming couplet (ending rhyme scheme is CE)
~enforces the subject of the poem ~the couple is about to be seperated
AMBIGUOSITY
~Rossetti emphasises the fact that she will be far away from him soon ~she emphasises the ''...gone away'' in the first line to ''Gone far away...'' in the next line
Remember

SELFLESS
''Remember me... Yet if you should forget me for a while And afterwards remember, do not grieve:''
~Rossetti would rather be forgotten then let her lover suffer from the pain of remembering her ~juxtaposition of remember and forget
