In My Opinion. In my opinion, Cinderella Man was an excellent movie. My attention was held the whole time, even during less active scenes. Historically, the majority of the film is accurate, and overall very entertaining, especially because of its connection actual happenings and comparibility to today's economic situation.

Inaccuracies Max Baer only killed one man in the ring, while the movie says he killed 2.

Cinderella Man depicts the tale of a courageous man (James Braddock) who is struggling through the Great Depression to keep his family alive. He is a small time boxer in New Jersey, but after breaking his hand, he becomes less entertaining in the ring and is forced to surrender his license. After working on a dock for several years, barely getting by on grudgingly accepted welfare, Braddock's ex-manager Joe Gould finds him a fight that could help him earn some money. Winning the fight on half a meal of hash, Braddock restarts his rise to fame and is set up to fight the reigning heavyweight champioin, Max Baer. Baer is a vicious fighter, so much that he actually killed with his deadly right hand. Braddock pulls an astonishing victory out of the bag, and goes down in history as the Cinderella Man, the underdog of the 20's that brought himself up to heavy weight champion of the world from a nobody dock helper in New Jersey.
